About
Farouk is an Iraqi-Canadian artist, entrepreneur, and storyteller. Born in Baghdad and later relocating to Damascus during his teenage years, he has been involved in music from an early age, developing a sustained creative practice over time.
After settling in Vancouver, he continued refining his sound. His latest album, Tihla Bwojoudak, draws on traditional Iraqi melodies reworked through a contemporary lens.
